Are you a pottery enthusiast looking to enhance your skills on the potter's wheel? Join this exclusive 4-week workshop, where you will embark on an exciting journey of creating your very own plates and bottle forms.

Improve your skills on the potter’s wheel by learning to throw Plates & Bottle Forms. Trimming tricks such as how to trim bottles on a chuck and how to avoid cracks and warping in plates will be covered.  Ideally you will be bringing home between 5-7 pieces. Each session lasts approximatively 2h30.

  • Week one: Refreshing on how to wedge, centering and throwing your first plates and trying different technics.  On this first day we will focus only on plates.

  • Week two: I will guide you through the process on how to make your first bottle shape and then you can decide if you want to continue making plates or bottles.

  • Week three: We will trim and give the finishing touches to all the work you made in the past two weeks.

  • Week four: First I will show you different ways of glazing, then you will glaze your bisque work using technics such as dipping, pouring layering and engobe.
This last session is subject to changes in case your work is not ready to be glazed and it can be rescheduled.

Your work will then be fired at 1220 °C and can be collected after about 2 weeks.

I will provide an apron for you but please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty and short nails are advisable.

All tools, material and firing costs are included.

I won’t be able to refund the fee if cancellations are made less than 7 days prior to the class.
